Common Questions
FAQs
What is a fire watch service?
A fire watch is a trained, dedicated professional who physically patrols your site watching for signs of smoke and fire — and who knows exactly what to do if they find them. Fire watch is required whenever your fire protection systems are impaired or hot work creates an ignition risk, and it comes with the written documentation your AHJ, insurer, and OSHA expect.
When is fire watch required?
Any time a sprinkler, alarm, or suppression system is taken offline — for maintenance, repair, or construction — and during hot work like welding, cutting, or grinding. Local fire marshals can also order a fire watch for events, hazardous conditions, or code violations. If you’re unsure, call us — we’ll tell you straight whether your situation requires one.
How quickly can you respond?
Our dispatch is staffed 24/7/365, and we dispatch an officer within one hour of your call. Arrival time depends on how far your site is from our crews, so we give you an honest ETA up front — no vague promises.
